It’s one thing to know how to write a DAX formula. It’s a completely different level of competency to understand how to write the correct formula and understand why it works. This course addresses this and makes you understand the happening under the hood.
There will be typically 4 to 5 semesters scheduled in a year.
Each semester is scheduled over three weeks:
Within the time window you have set for yourself to work on each session, you will need to:
You will then attend the live online Q&A call of the session at the scheduled time.
The live online Q&A calls will be held twice a week in Week 1 and Week 2 at 7:00 AM (local time in Sydney, Australia).
You can choose to complete the course material for each session few days before or the day prior or on the same day – it is up to you – based on availability and time preferences.
The call timings for the upcoming semester based on certain time zones are given below. If your time zone is not shown below, please convert to your time zone based on the time in Sydney, Australia (AEST).
There is often some structured homework for you to prepare before the calls. You can do this work and we can discuss your solution on the calls. Even if you cannot complete it, you can still attend the call and listen to the discussions and ask any questions you have on your mind.
Note: Please be aware of the multiple time differences due to the beginning and ending of Daylight Savings Time around the world.
It is recommended you view the videos, repeat the demos/practice exercises if you need to, then complete any homework exercises prior to attending the live Q&A calls.
One of the benefits of this style of learning is you can consume the content at your own pace (faster, slower, repeat over) and still get to listen to all the discussion and questions from all the other participants during the live calls.
The Q&A calls will be recorded, and the recordings will be shared with you after each call.
You can download the videos and keep for your later reference.
Demystifying DAX Online is an annual subscription course.
Your registration includes the first 12 months of unlimited access to the video content, the sample materials, the live online Q&A calls with Matt Allington, and our premium Discussions Forum while your subscription is active.
